The START Information Reporting System (SIRS) of the National Center for START Services® (NCSS) is a comprehensive data management tool designed to track and analyze the trends in needs of people with IDD-MH across the US, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of START practices and programs. SIRS collects detailed information on service delivery, outcomes, and program performance, providing valuable insights into the impact of START services on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
This system enables real-time data entry and reporting, ensuring that program staff can make informed decisions based on up-to-date information. Additionally, SIRS generates comprehensive reports for funders, demonstrating the value and effectiveness of START programs and supporting continued funding and program development. Using SIRS data, NCSS and START Staff enhance the quality of care, identify areas for improvement, and support the continuous quality improvement of START programs nationwide.
