Second Monday of the Month 3:30-4:40
The Assistive Technology (AT) Community of Practice in New Hampshire is an open, inclusive space for professionals, educators, caregivers, individuals with disabilities, and anyone interested in assistive technology. This monthly gathering fosters collaboration, learning, and innovation in the field of AT.
Each one-hour meeting is held virtually and features a structured yet engaging format:
- 15-minute vendor demonstration: A featured AT vendor showcases a product or service, offering attendees a firsthand look at emerging tools, devices, or software that support independence, communication, learning, and accessibility.
- 45-minute topic-specific discussion: Following the demo, participants engage in a guided conversation around a selected theme. Topics vary month to month and may include areas such as AT for education, workplace accommodations, AAC strategies, device reuse, funding sources, or DIY/maker solutions.
- Last 10 minutes for individual questions
This community is designed to:
- Encourage peer-to-peer learning and resource sharing
- Highlight practical applications of AT in real-world settings
- Support professional development and networking
- Promote inclusive practices across New Hampshire’s schools, agencies, and communities
Meetings are free and open to the public, welcoming both seasoned professionals and those new to assistive technology. Whether you're a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, special educator, family member, or maker, your voice and experience are valued.
