Our why

Mission

Empowering Granite Staters through assistive technology to live, learn, work, and play independently with dignity, inclusion, and access across all stages of life.

What drives us

Vision

We envision a world where everyone has the tools, support, and freedom to live life on their own terms. Where individuals can readily access assistive technology to unlock independence, choice, and opportunity—making daily tasks easier and freeing time for what matters most.

Values

Independence

We believe that every person has the right to live as independently as possible. Assistive technology is a vital tool that enables individuals to perform daily tasks, make decisions, and navigate their environments with confidence and autonomy.

Joy and fulfillment

We recognize that life is not just about getting through the “have to do’s”. It’s about having the energy and tools to pursue the “want to do’s.” We value the role of assistive technology in helping people engage in play, creativity, relationships, and personal passions.

Choice and self-determination

We honor the right of individuals to make their own choices about the tools and supports they use. We strive to ensure that assistive technology solutions are person-centered, flexible, and responsive to individual goals, preferences, and lifestyles.

Collaboration and partnership

We believe that lasting impact comes from working together. We collaborate with individuals, families, educators, employers, service providers, and policymakers to build a strong, informed, and connected assistive technology community.

Inclusion and equity

We are committed to creating a more inclusive New Hampshire where assistive technology is accessible to all, regardless of age, ability, income, or location. We work to eliminate barriers and promote equity in access, training, and support.

Innovation and learning

We embrace innovation and continuous learning. We stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices, and we support ongoing education to ensure that our services remain relevant and effective.

Our Advisory Council

The ATinNH Advisory Council plays a vital role in guiding New Hampshire’s Assistive Technology Act Program. Its purpose is to provide consumer-responsive, consumer-driven advice to ensure that the program reflects the needs, priorities, and lived experiences of individuals with disabilities and those who support them.
