ATinNH’s refurbish and reuse program helps extend the life of assistive technology (AT) devices so more people across New Hampshire can access the tools they need without the cost of buying new equipment. Through refurbishment, repair, and reuse, we support individual independence while reducing waste and stretching resources further.
Devices are donated, repaired when possible, and made available at low or no-cost to individuals, families, and organizations. This approach helps ensure that assistive technology remains practical, affordable, and available — meeting people where they are and supporting real-world needs.
Refurbished and repaired devices
ATinNH partners with organizations that accept donated equipment and restore it for continued use. Availability varies, and inventories often change.

Open-ended (long-term) equipment loans
Some assistive technology needs are ongoing. Open-ended loans allow individuals to use devices for as long as needed, with the option to return equipment when it’s no longer required so it can support someone else next.
ATinNH partners with community organizations that offer long-term loans of reused equipment across the state.
ATinNH partner loan programs:
- Kearsarge Area Council on Aging – Chapin Senior Center
- Community Caregivers of Greater Derry – Durable Medical Equipment Loaner Closet
- Grafton County Senior Citizens Council, Inc. (GCSCC)
Additional equipment loan resources
Not everyone who needs assistive technology lives close to one of ATinNH’s partner organizations. To help ensure access statewide, we want to share additional assistive technology lending libraries located throughout New Hampshire. Many of these programs offer long-term loans, often with no set return date, making them a valuable option for ongoing needs.
