NH groups Live Free Recovery and Seacoast Outright have received funding from the Empowering Youth Program to begin piloting alternative peer groups at their respective locations. The Empowering Youth Program is designed to benefit middle and high-school aged youth and targets providers that will either expand current programs or initiate new program opportunities for these age groups. NH Governor Chris Sununu authorized the expenditure of $2 million from the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund for the Empowering Youth Program, which will allow the Department of Health and Human Services to fund youth programming as part of the state's Invest in the Future Fund. Congratulations to both groups!
