The class shared their thoughts about their experience in Leadership so far...

Leadership is liken to a magical thread that holds all the squares together of a warm quilt that you can wrap yourself in.  Who would have known they were providing the squares of fabric too!  Each square represents fellow colleagues who possess in their own right such quality experiences, passions, wealth of knowledge and are willing to go the extra mile to help the self-development of their fellow teammate!  I’ll never be without a blanket again!

NH Leadership Series ParticipantsI have been a stay-at-home mother for 16 years raising two children, one with significant developmental disabilities.  Leadership is empowering me to rediscover my own self-worth and direction in life -- I am finally seeing myself as more than a caregiver, but as someone who is fully capable of initiating and bringing about positive change in our community.

Within leadership, I have learned so much more than I thought possible.  Seeing state changes in the past 40 + years, and looking forward to being a part of the changes to come.

New Hampshire Leadership Series has really given me a new perspective as an educational leader and a parent of a child with a disability.  I am so glad I was asked to be a part of it.  It is truly a unique and eye-opening experience, right here in New Hampshire.

Please feel free to contact me if I can help.

NH Leadership Series Group ConversationI wanted to get more involved in my community but was not sure how to start. Leadership has helped give me the skills and courage to approach the town and offer my help. Now I am involved with different groups in town and get to help out and plan events.

The opportunity I have right now being a part of this program, has been life changing for me. I'm very excited to take the next steps and getting involved as an even stronger advocate for our disabled community. The skills I will take with me are going to be applied in so many aspects of my life.

Thank you Group leaders and all who have taken the time to share their wisdom and personal stories.

3 Leadership Series Participants TalkI have enjoyed The Leadership Series. For two reason one is everyone has each other’s backs. And number two I have learned a lot about myself I did not know before like I can control how much I talk. I recommend Leadership to anyone- it has been an awesome experience.

Before I started Leadership, I thought I wanted to expand my career to help individuals with disabilities. I have learned so much about the legislative process and disability rights that I now have confidence that I can make a positive change in NH.
