All NOTS live Q&A events are held via Zoom from 1:00-2:00 ET / 12:00-1:00 CT / 11:00-12:00 MT / 10:00-11:00 PT (unless otherwise indicated).
Description:
This presentation will explore the ten principles of disability justice, with a focus on how each principle is experienced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs (IDD-MH). Two esteemed discussants with lived experience of IDD-MH will share personal insights on how these principles resonate in their lives. The moderator will connect each principle to the START model, creating a meaningful conversation about the intersections of disability justice and START and their collective contributions to promoting wellbeing for people with IDD-MH and their families.
