The Institute on Disability is pleased to announce that Kelly Nye-Lengerman, Ph.D., MSW, LGSW has been named Director of the Institute on Disability (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire. As a Research Associate and Director of Community Living & Employment at the University of Minnesota's Institute on Community Integration for the past 11 years, Kelly brings a wealth of experience, particularly in the areas of workforce development, person-centered practices, and evaluation, and like the IOD, has a passion for supporting the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in community life. The IOD looks forward to the impact Kelly will have on the IOD's longstanding mission to ensure full access, equal opportunities, and participation for all persons.
The Institute on Disability would like to thank Linda Bimbo and Andrew Houtenville for each serving in the Acting IOD Director role and the search committee for their dedication during this 2-year search process. The IOD is confident in Kelly's ability to further the institute's mission and work and looks forward to welcoming her on June 8, 2020.
