RENEW Coach Certification (Required)
Requirements for Certified RENEW Coaches:
- Meets the certification requirements of a RENEW Facilitator, including completing the 3-day RENEW Facilitator Training and facilitating RENEW with at least three (3) youth within 12 months. In addition, applicant has participated in and achieved a fidelity score of 80% or higher in all domains on the RENEW Integrity Tool. (Individuals can apply for waivers from this requirement if they have demonstrated competency or have long-term experience with the model, or if there are other agency contexts and circumstances that do not allow the applicant to meet the RENEW Facilitator certification requirements. It is required that the applicant has participated in at least one (1) RENEW mapping session and one (1) team meeting.)
- Has determined with their supervisor that the applicant has capacity to coach others (time).
- Certificate of completion of the online RENEW Coaches Training (five modules).
- Conducted an informational overview about RENEW with an agency or group.
- Received at least six (6) hours of coaching within the previous 12 months from a Certified RENEW Coach or trainer.
- Participated in at least two (2) RENEW Community of Practice or NH RENEW Professional Learning Community calls in the previous 12 months.
- Collect and share data on RENEW youth outcomes and implementation process with the RENEW IOD team and other stakeholders within your organization.
- Participated in and achieved a fidelity score or 75% or higher in all domains of the RENEW Coaches Integrity Tool (RCIT).
- Recommended for coaching certification by a Certified RENEW Coach or trainer.
Application for RENEW Coach Certification
RENEW Coach Recertification Annual Renewal Requirements:
- Remains current on all RENEW materials by being active on RENEW Coaches Corner Portal in Canvas.
- Documentation of at least six (6) hours of professional development, such as participating in RENEW-related events or trainings, RENEW Community of Practice meetings, RENEW Coaches training, co-training a RENEW Facilitator training, or graphic facilitation training.
- Continued membership in the National RENEW Community of Practice or NH RENEW Professional Learning Community.
- Demonstrate competency by achieving a score of 75% or higher on RENEW Coaches Integrity Tool (RCIT) within the previous 12 months. This tool must be reviewed by an IOD RENEW Trainer.
- Collect and share aggregate data on RENEW youth outcomes and RENEW fidelity tools.
