Professional Background:
Nicholas Mian is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire, Manchester campus, and teaches the course on Child and Family Systems in the Building Futures Together training program. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2013 and has been teaching college-level courses on child development and clinical psychology for over 15 years. Dr. Mian’s academic research focuses on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of emotional disorders, especially in young children. He is also interested in mental health education and workforce challenges. His scholarly work is featured in peer-reviewed journals and several books. Dr. Mian also maintains a private practice.
