Professional Background

Marnie is the NH-ME LEND Training Co-Director through the Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studes (CCIDS) at the University of Maine.  She joined CCIDS in 2008 and works on the early childhood and school age teams, currently as the Coordinator of Early Childhood and School Age Education.  She is dedicated to supporting access and participation for all, and has worked with students, families, children, and educators throughout her 30-year career in disability.  She has provided consultation in both early care and school-based settings for 17 years to wrap around the people who care for and educate children every day.  Marnie also teaches courses for the UMaine College of Education and Human Development as adjunct faculty, and in a cross-state partnership with the University of New Hampshire where she is passionate about creating a learning experience all students can access.  She is also affiliated with Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (Partner of CCIDS).  She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children/Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children.
