Dr. Kelly Doran is a Research and Evaluation Specialist for the IOD. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Development from Indiana University, and has broad research interests in human development and aging, health risk behaviors, higher education, and research methodology. Dr. Doran also has years of experience in higher education as an academic advisor, and as an instructor teaching undergrad courses in adolescent development, child psychology, social statistics, and aging. Since joining the IOD, Dr. Doran has engaged in research and evaluation in a wide range of projects with a focus on inclusive higher education, improving Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) for individuals with ID in NH, increasing community life engagement (CLE) for adults with IDD, and building family protective factors to reduce engagement in the child welfare system. She has also led the production of Employment Data Reports with the NH Bureau of Developmental Services. In her role, she hopes to contribute to knowledge about disability through research and evaluation, and to bridge the gap between research and application to solve practical problems and to improve the lives and inclusion of individuals with disabilities and their families.
