Implementation Science Training: Improve fidelity, enhance sustainability, scale up

A five-day training beginning Sept 22, 2022, that will provide teams with strategies and tools to apply a systematic approach to a real project, using proven principles and features of implementation science.

September 22, October 6 & 20, and November 10 & 29, 2022 @ 8:30am–11:30am | online via Zoom

Event Description

Too frequently, attempts to implement high quality services, supports, and initiatives fail because implementation structures and systems that are necessary for real change on the ground were not in place or supported over time. Understanding the key elements of implementation science and how to activate proven implementation strategies helps agencies and schools to select, implement, and sustain a new practice or initiative more effectively.

This training will provide teams with the tools they need to apply a systematic approach to a real project, using proven principles and features of implementation science. Teams will engage in modularized training and have opportunities to work together with the tools as they learn how to:

  • Accurately assess the needs of their population, and choose the best practice or approach based on a systematic analysis of fit, feasibility, and sustainability.
  • Articulate the key features of the practice or initiative so their providers and other stakeholders have clear direction about what and how to implement.
  • Form and sustain a high functioning, diverse team of stakeholders.
  • Carefully address the stages of implementation to properly prepare providers and other stakeholders.
  • Build data into all phases and functions of their project so that they have the information they need to stay on track and improve implementation.

Who Should Attend

This training is for teams of 3+ individuals who are working together to implement a new, or examine an existing, project or practice. Participants should have basic knowledge of the purpose of implementation science and must have a specific project to work with throughout the training.
