The Institute on Disability (IOD) and its Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) invite you to our Annual Open House — an afternoon of learning, connection, and shared purpose.
At the IOD, we work toward a future where inclusion is a given, accessibility is woven into everything, and everyone can participate fully and equally. This Open House is an opportunity to learn how that vision shows up in our day-to-day work and how you can be part of it!
Why we’re hosting this event
The IOD’s Consumer Advisory Council is a supporting body and a critical voice in shaping our priorities. CAC members help ensure that our research, policy work, and training efforts are grounded in the real experiences of people with disabilities, families, and community partners.
This year’s Open House is designed to:
- Introduce our current projects and emerging priorities, including work on community living, mental health, education, employment, and more.
- Strengthen relationships across New Hampshire’s disability community, including advocates, self-advocates, service providers, funders, and policymakers.
- Recruit new members for the CAC who bring diverse lived and professional experience.
Finger foods and beverages will be provided.
Agenda
2:00 - 2:30 pm: Informal networking with research and project presentations highlighting IOD's work and partnerships.
2:30 - 3:00 pm: Formal program starts.
3:00 - 4:00 pm: Mingle with IOD experts and talk with our project teams, offer feedback on current and future IOD initiatives, and learn more about what CAC membership involves and how to apply!
