Dear Alumni and Friends,
Another great year in Leadership and some big changes on our Leadership Team!
We saw 30 energized people pass through the Leadership process this past year and their impact and powerful actions will be felt around the state in the months and years to come. When action groups stay together after graduation and continue their work, we know something went very well! Chemistry and commitment – what great teams are made of!
Our small change is that we have moved to a new brighter office within the same Concord IOD building. Come by for a visit!
But our biggest change is having our amazing Beth Dixon officially retire, a wonderful woman who has been pillar in Leadership for the past 25 years. At her retirement party, the room was filled with words like inspiration, values, strength, grace, courage, and, of course, her beautiful smile and beautiful hair! Beth gave so much to Leadership to help build it, sustain it, and ensure that it would flourish. Her strength and stories have meant so much to many of us, but her friendship is one that many of us hold dearly. We all wish Beth well with more time to enjoy her lake, her gardens, her family and all of her passions!
We will still see Beth occasionally as she will be doing some development work but her everyday presence will be sorely missed. Deb Genthner and I are working to make the transition go smoothly as we take on more responsibilities. It is going to be a great year and we have much of our class filled. We still need your help in finding more applicants from Regions 2 and 5. To strengthen this powerful community statewide, we need people in every region to be part of the village! Please help recruit in regions 2 and 5.
The GALA this year was one of the best ever! Such a great celebration and a time we can reconnect and make new relationships- magic seems to happen! If you didn’t join us, make sure you plan on coming next year to join the fun and celebration. We thank so many alumna for sending donations and gifts and for coming to support our biggest fundraising effort.
As we pass through this new phase of Leadership without Beth, we hope to hear from you and catch up from time to time. Please stay in touch.
Have a great summer. Thanks, Ann
