Professional Background
Jackie joined the National Center for START Services in August 2022 as a remote employee based in North Carolina. As the Marketing and Promotions Manager, she is responsible for overseeing and implementing a coordinated and thorough communications and marketing plan for the NCSS. Jackie brings 14 years of experience in journalism, university communication, and academic health care. She is skilled at developing consistent and effective messaging across multiple platforms to inspire action in support of an institution’s mission. She is passionate about writing and sharing stories that improve the health and lives of the people around us. Jackie lives in Greenville, NC with her husband Zac and their two rescued lab/hound mixes, Mavis and Mabel. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, horseback riding, and going to the beach.
