Professional Background:

Alyse M. Scura-Mohammed, MA, EdM, LMHC-D: During her 19+ years in the field working with both youth and adults, Alyse has provided a comprehensive array of services to many different populations in many environments including schools, group homes, residential treatment centers, day programs and community based services. Alyse is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, a certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and certified to complete juvenile sexual offender risk assessments. Following completion of her master’s degrees, Alyse worked in the residential field with adolescents in upstate NY in direct support and administrative roles and later served as an Assistant Director of Clinical Services in Massachusetts. In 2017, she became the Clinical Director for NYSTART Long Island serving individuals with intellectually disabilities and co-existing mental health concerns and their systems and in 2022 joined the National Center for START Services team as a Project Manager.
