Dr. JoAnne Malloy Receives $2.4M from HRSA for Building Futures Together
Dr. JoAnne Malloy, research associate professor, recently received $2.4M from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for Building Futures Together. The newly funded program will prepare 98 paraprofessionals in healthcare and school settings to provide specialized enhanced care coordination to children, youth, and their caregivers whose parents are impacted by opioid use disorders (OUD) and other substance use disorders (SUD). NH Occupational Health Surveillance Program Receives Funding from NIOSH
The IOD received funding from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to partner with NH DHHS to conduct a callback survey of COVID patients who worked 14 days prior to experiencing symptoms and being diagnosed to learn more about safety and health in the workplace. Partner states and NIOSH project personnel will work together to create a multi-state dataset that will be analyzed using descriptive statistics about the characteristics of COVID-19 cases with potential occupational exposure. The results will be summarized in a peer-reviewed manuscript to help build the epidemiologic evidence base related to COVID-19 among workers.
IOD Awarded Susan Harwood Training Grant to Improve Safety Training for Workers with ID
The IOD’s was awarded $80,000 for a DOL Capacity Building Pilot. Mary St. Jacque will serve as the Principal Investigator and guide efforts to address a shortage of occupational health and safety training for workers with IDD.
Understanding the Impact of COVID-19 on Young Adults with IDD-MH and their Families
The Center for START Services was awarded $139,999 in enhancement funding for Reconciling the Past & Changing the Future: Engaging Young Adults with IDD-MH and Researchers in CER, from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) through the University of Florida. Research Abstract
