Alan Cobo-Lewis, NH-ME LEND Co-Director and faculty member in Psychology recently published an article in the Early Child Research Quarterly. The study examined “continuity of care” for infants and toddlers in child care centers, and whether the construct was associated with social-emotional and language development. The research team found that continuity of care was related to higher teacher ratings of self-control, initiative, and attachment, and lower ratings of behavior concerns—but that continuity of care was not related to rates of change in these social skills nor to vocabulary outcomes. Findings did not support current recommendations in favor of continuity of care in this population.

Patrick Shannon,  NH-ME LEND faculty member in Social Work, who co-authored a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration. The grant will support 116 master’s level social work and occupational therapy students at UNH for behavioral health care training in medically underserved areas in New Hampshire and beyond.

Former NH-ME LEND faculty member in Education, Leslie Couse. Dr. Couse was appointed Executive Director for Engagement and Faculty Development at UNH in September of this year.  Congratulations, Leslie!
