A Town Hall Conversation about New Hampshire’s Behavioral Health System of Care
NH Children's Behavioral Health Collaborative Logo

Since 2012, several organizations have collaborated to build a System of Care for New Hampshire children and youth with mental health concerns.

A System of Care is “a spectrum of effective, community-based services and supports for children and youth with or at risk for mental health or other challenges and their families, that is organized into a coordinated network, builds meaningful partnerships with families and youth, and addresses their cultural and linguistic needs, in order to help them to function better at home, in school, in the community, and throughout life.” (Stroul & Friedman, 2011).

This event will highlight the roles of these partners in developing and implementing youth- and family- driven supports that cut across sectors, are culturally and linguistically competent, and are community based. We will talk about where we started, where we are now, and where we want to be in the future in implementing cross-sector, interdisciplinary, family- and youth-driven care in New Hampshire. There will be ample time for questions.

Panelists will include:

  • Erica Ungarelli, Director, Bureau of Children's Behavioral Health, NH DHHS
  • Karen Cusano, Chief Operating Officer, NFI North, Inc.
  • Dennis Calcutt, Director, Monadnock Region System of Care
  • Melissa Davis, Project Manager, Waypoint NH
  • Brian Huckins, Director, Children and Youth Programs, NAMI NH
  • JoAnne Malloy and Maureen Gross, Institute on Disability at UNH
