During this speech about how Alternative Peer Groups are an essential service, Dr. Nicholas Mian, Associate Professor at UNH Manchester and co-principal investigator for the Building Futures Together grant-funded training program, explained how Building Futures Together plays a vital role in the workforce development for paraprofessionals. Many paraprofessionals from this program take a peer role within their local communities to offer support. The Building Futures Together program offers the most up-to-date methods to be a successful peer working in the behavioral health field. Supporting data about the program was shared at the NH Behavioral Health Summit, showing positive outcomes from the program and how the on-the-job training had an impact for many of our trainees in their learning goals.
