Families First Health and Support Center

Families First Health and Support Center is a Federally-qualified Health Center and Family Resource Center serving the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. Families First provides affordable health care for all ages, parenting and family programs, prenatal care, dental care and mobile health care for the homeless, regardless of ability to pay. At Families First, NH LEND trainees participate in family programs, such as Toddler Playtime, Family Fun Night, Babytime, and Terrific Twos Playtime. Trainees build relationships with parents that further family understanding of developmental milestones and developmentally appropriate activities. During the family program, parents have the option of completing the Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3 (ASQ-3) with LEND trainees and Families First staff members. The ASQ-3 is available to families free of charge through NH’s Statewide Developmental Screening System, Watch Me Grow.

The ASQ-3 is a valid and reliable screening tool that supports understanding of children’s early development. It also creates opportunities to develop practical activities that support learning and development at home. Through Families First family programs, parents may seek advice for developmental concerns as well. Families First contributes to the health and well-being of the Seacoast Community by providing a broad range of health and family services to all.
