The Building Futures Together Team celebrated Cohort 3, finishing Level One of the program. During the celebrations, JoAnne Malloy and Nick Mian spoke to the Trainees about how amazed they were about the accomplishments and the work that the Trainees have done during the first half of the program. During Level One of the Building Futures Together, our Trainees took three classes. The three courses within the Building Futures Together program are the: CRSW, Child Development, and Family Systems, and Enhanced Care Coordination. During this Level One, some of our Trainees have never taken a college-level course; others have been out of school for over twenty years.
By the end of Level One, our trainees found confidence not only in the course knowledge and skills but also in the fact that they could continue their education within the Substance Use Disorder field. Some of our trainees have spoken about furthering their education and have applied to colleges to gain a two- or four-year degree while they continue to work in the field using the tools they learned through Building Futures Together. The Recognition Ceremony not only celebrated the accomplishments of these Trainees but also allowed them to network with their fellow Trainees from different locations across New Hampshire. Those who could not make it in person could join the celebration through a live Zoom stream of the event.
We want to let our Trainees know that we are proud of all they have done, and we are excited to see how their passion and dedication to this field will positively impact those who need support and guidance on their own journey. We thank you for all your hard work and will keep encouraging you to keep moving forward, to keep learning, and to know that you are making a difference with those you are working with.
