Support the "Intelligent Lives" and "Gene Connolly" Film Projects

The Inclusive Communities Project is directed by the IOD's filmmaker, Dan Habib. Habib is the creator of the award-winning documentary films Including SamuelWho Cares About Kelsey?Restraint and Seclusion: Hear Our Stories, and many other short films on disability-related topics.

Donations will support Habib's newest films:

1. Gene Connolly film: Tax-deductible donations will support Dan Habib's short documentary on former Concord (NH) High School principal, Gene Connolly. The film will chronicle parts of Connolly's final year at the school and include interviews between students and Connolly about his life with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The film will be freely distributed on YouTube, ConcordTV, and other platforms as an educational and awareness tool locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally. Supporters of $50 or more will be acknowledged in the film credits (with your permission). Learn more about the Gene Connolly Film project.

2. Intelligent Lives Project: Tax-deductible donations will support two new films: the feature-length documentary Intelligent Lives (working title) and a companion documentary about best practices in post-secondary transition. These films will explore how the segregation of people with intellectual disabilities became the norm, why this segregation is slowly being dismantled, and how some people with intellectual disabilities are blazing a bold new path. Your donation will support the various stages of film production, including research, filming, editing, and development of educational and outreach materials. Learn more about the Intelligent Lives Project.
