This month, Spotlight highlights and acknowledges the valuable work of our NH-ME LEND Advisory Committee. Their expertise and perspectives are key in identifying emerging issues impacting children with developmental disabilities and their families. With their guidance, the NH-ME LEND program remains strong and responsive to the changing educational and training needs in New Hampshire and Maine.
The Advisory Committee meets semiannually and is comprised of public health professionals, health equity leaders, family members, LEND alumni, health care workforce researchers, and maternal and child health policy experts. Over the last four years, the Advisory Committee has assisted with diversifying recruitment materials and strategies, developing curriculum and activities in behavioral health and social determinants of health, and building relationships with new clinical and leadership partners.
Committee members contribute from both New Hampshire and Maine to review annual program evaluations as well as share pertinent disability information across state lines. It is with sincere gratitude that we thank our NH-ME LEND Advisory Committee members for their service to the program over the last five years.
