Samuel Habib and Connolly homecoming.JPGSamuel Habib (left, the filmmaker’s son) greets Principal Gene Connolly of Concord (NH) High School at the 2016 Homecoming Parade. Filmmaker Dan Habib decided to create the documentary Mr. Connolly Has ALS after watching his son Samuel have a conversation with Connolly. But neither of them could speak. They both used communication devices — Samuel because of his cerebral palsy and Connolly because he had developed Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Samuel Habib is also a credited story consultant on the film. Photo courtesy Dan Habib |
