Navigating resources for children with visual impairments can be challenging, but it doesn't have to be.
Join this virtual workshop with Sara Valli, director of ATinNH, to explore practical, accessible assistive technology (AT) resources available through ATinNH’s lending library. Designed for families, educators, and service providers, this session will break down how AT fits into the special education and IEP process, how teams make informed decisions, and what tools can support student success.
During this workshop, you will learn about:
- The role of assistive technology (AT) in the special education and IEP process
- The decision-making process IEP Teams should follow when considering AT
- The wide variety of AT tools available for children who are blind or visually impaired
- Strategies students can use to effectively self-advocate for AT accommodations
Walk away with clearer next steps, helpful resources, and tools to better support student independence and learning.
