Assistive Technology in New Hampshire (ATinNH)
Project Description
Assistive Technology in New Hampshire, ATinNH for short, is a program housed at the Institute on Disability on the campus of the University of New Hampshire. ATinNH is funded as New Hampshire's state program on assistive technology under a federal law. The Assistive Technology Act of 1998 (Public Law 108-364, amended 2004) authorizes funding to states and territories for several activities and services. Read this document for a summary of the provisions of the amended law. Every state has to develop a so called state plan in which we address how we will meet the laws requirements. Click here for a copy of New Hampshire's current state plan.
ATinNH considers itself a public resource established to increase access to assistive technology services and devices in our state. To this end we have formed partnerships with several entities:
- ATECH Services
- Northeast Passage
- NH Vision and Hearing Network
- UNH Occupational Therapy Department
- TD Banknorth
We are proud to be a public resource, if you would like more information or have ideas for us to consider, please contact us at assistive.technology@unh.edu.
