What is a Webinar?
A Webinar is an interactive web conferencing medium that is a blend of audio, video, synchronized slides, and Q&A sent over the Internet. Webinars allow you to access the LIVE content from your computer.
How interactive is a UNH/IOD LIVE Webinar?
During the LIVE Webinars, you not only get to hear the speaker live in an interactive setting but are also allowed to ask/send questions.
I am unable to attend a UNH/IOD LIVE Webinar. Is there a recording I can listen to?
Not at this time.
What happens after I register for a UNH/IOD LIVE Webinar?
- Once you have completed the registration process you will receive an email indicating a notification of payment.
- One week prior to the LIVE Webinar you will receive a confirmation email that includes instructions and access information (unique access link, login, and password) for joining or viewing the Webinar.
- You will receive a third email one business day prior to the LIVE Webinar as a final reminder. This email will also contain the instructions and access information (unique access link, login, and password) for joining or viewing the Webinar.
At what time should I log in for the Webinar?
Please log in to the webinar about 10 minutes prior to start time. You will be able to check your audio and make sure you can see the slides. This will allow the webinar to start and end on time.
Is there a provision for refund, if so, how?
Refunds are not available for online trainings. We do encourage substitutions in case you are unable to attend. In order to accommodate a substitution, we require an email minimum 48 hours prior to the Webinar scheduled start time with the name and date of the course, your name and email address, and the name and email address of the substitute attendee.
In the event of a no-show or the non-functioning of your PC or server there would be no refund provided.
Are Webinars ever cancelled?
UNH/IOD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any webinar event due to insufficient registration numbers (fewer than five), or circumstances beyond its control. All registrants will be notified via email of the cancellation. Upon such cancellation, registrants are eligible for a full refund of registration fees.
UNH/IOD will not be responsible for any penalties or other expenditure incurred due to the cancellation.
How secure is the Web conference event?
UNH/IOD webinars are powered by WebEx and are completely private and secure. WebEx provides encrypted and continuous security measures that protect user privacy.
What is needed for attending a Webinar?
You will need a computer with a high-speed internet connection. To connect to the audio portion of the presentation you will either connect using your computer or you may call in by using the telephone. How do I join a Webinar?
You can join a Webinar using a PC or Mac®. You will receive two emails inviting you to join the Webinar, one seven days prior to the event and one the day prior to the event. Please click your unique access link and enter the name and email exactly as you entered it during the registration process you will then join the session by selecting the “Join a Webinar” button.
Can I view presentations in full-screen format?
Yes. There is an option to toggle between Full Screen and Window viewing.
What if I need help during the Webinar?
Please send a chat message and communicate with the Host from UNH/IOD who will be present to support you throughout the Webinar and will help resolve the problem.
Can I ask questions during the LIVE Webinar?
Yes, you can ask questions during the LIVE Webinar— type your question at any time once the presentation begins.
Note: The speaker might provide an answer immediately, if it‘s related to the section that is being presented or the presenter might keep the questions to be explained in the Q&A section.
The UNH/IOD team welcomes questions throughout the Webinar and the presenter will do their best to answer either during the live event or during the Q&A session.
Why have I not received the email invitation with the link for the Webinar?
Please check if the mail has landed in your spam/junk mail folder. If you still cannot find the email, please contact a member of our team by email.
