IOD Offers Workshop on Supported Self-Employment
MANCHESTER - The Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire will host a workshop May 5 on the benefits of supported self-employment for individuals with significant disabilities.
Doing My Own Thing: Supported Self-Employment as a Viable Employment Option, is a one-day workshop geared to in dividuals with disabilities, family members, employment service providers, and rehabilitation counselors.
workshop will provide practical guidelines to the supported self-employment planning process, community and financial resource development, quality indicators and pitfalls to avoid. Also on-hand will be an experienced panel of self-employed business owners, employment facilitators, and technical assistance providers who will share stories and engage the audience in interactive discussion.
