Including All Students in Education Is the Focus of Annual Fall Symposium Offered By the Institute on Disability at UNH

DURHAM, N.H. – Ensuring all learners have access to a good education is the focus of this year’s Fall Symposium, offered by the Institute on Disability/UCED (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire.

Raising Expectations: Including ALL Children in Education Fall Symposium, held October 23 at the Center of NH-Radisson Hotel in Manchester, will offer professional workshops on ways to include students with the most “significant disabilities,” provide literacy supports for students with disabilities, ease the transition from school to adult life, support students autism/PDD in general education classes, and promote student independence.

The annual symposium is popular among college students, new educators, paraprofessionals, school administrators, and experienced teachers looking for professional development opportunities or to stay informed of the latest educational promising practices. In addition, college faculty, school administrators, families and those interested in providing a quality educational experience for all students in general education settings will all benefit from attending this comprehensive workshop.
